Food Lists

I am looking for a list of foods. Preferably, with portion sizes, carb and calorie count. I have found many online but I was wondering if anyone could advise one that they feel is actually accurate? The lists online differ any many ways. The one I used to previously lose 78lbs has shut down the website and I can not find my copies anywhere! Ugh! My boyfriend and I are about to get fit together! This is new for me, so I would rather have lists to choose from. I don't have much of a menu imagination! Lol!! If anyone could recommend one, that would be great!

I see the calorie counter here on Fitness Pal, but you have to enter your foods. I like to see what I have to choose from for a menu then make my choices according to the nutritional values. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Good Luck to everyone!!!!

Buy a cheap calorie count reference book or bookmark the USDA nutrition database on your phone.

I use MFP for this by entering different foods that I am considering eating, seeing what the nutritional values are, then choosing the one I will have and delete the others.

Yup, pretty much any bookstore with have a little palm sized calorie count book, they're pretty handy.

You don't have to enter your foods to access the MFP calorie counts. Go to the MFP webpage, log in, click on the food tab at the top, and go to "Database." You can search the database by food name without entering anything into your food log.

That said, I still like the reference books. The book that fits in my purse is less annoying than using this website on my phone.
