Need healthy food ideas
I currently weight 108, at 5'2 and my caloric goal a day is 1200 - I know that doesn't seem like a lot but I honestly have trouble getting any more than this unless I eat fast food. I'm looking for help with my diet as I don't feel I have many healthy options to choose from.
Typical day for me looks like
- 2 boiled or scrambled eggs (with green onion and red bell peppers) at breakfast time
- stir fry for lunch - chicken, shrimp or beans with rice and vegetables (broccoli, zucchini, onions, peppers)
- protein shake after the gym
- supper usual is one of the things mentioned below
chicken veggie wrap
chicken salad with spinach
home-made chilli (beans, beef, veggies)
Does anyone have any ideas of healthy foods for me other than what I have above, or any recommendations for changes? Any answer appreciated

What is your goal? Do you want to gain, lose or maintain weight? If you want to eat more than 1200 (which I think you should), and it's difficult to eat more, why can't you eat fast food? Why/how do you feel restricted food wise?
I would recommend that you eat whatever you like in appropriate amounts. All kinds of foods are possible to eat. Eat different things through the day, and from day to day. Add some fruit, nuts and dairy, and fish and pork, pasta, bread and oatmeal. Nothing sensational, just normal food.0 -
First, you're hitting the low end of healthy BMI according to MFP. I hope you're trying to eat real near maintenance. Second, if you've got a good, adequate routine and just need to add a bit more to fill in the corners add a glass of milk, put the good sour cream and cheese on your chicken wrap, drink orange juice. There are tons of tiny things you can do to fill in calories, and if you are near your maintenance point you should be able to easily eat 1200 or above.0
