Anybody up for a beat your personal best by 1st July challenge?

My PB for the 5K is currently 25:46 - I'm aiming for 24:59!

Anybody fancy having a weekly catch-up for motivational purposes and see how close you can get to your chosen PB by the 1st July?

I'm in. But I don't have until July 1! I've gotta do it June 25th before I leave for vacation.

actually, I get 2 chances, because I have a race on June 18 too.

so. right now my PR is 25:14

I'll aim for sub 25.. but that's gonna be tough! very. Hope the course is flat!

I know - I've been trying to break through the 25min barrier for a while now without much success - I find doing a bunch of distance work at decent speeds (I've been working on getting my 8K time down around 44 minutes) has really helped. Good luck and will put you down for 24:59 as well!!

    Holy Hell!

I just ran my 5K and got 23:29!!

    what a high.

I cannot believe I knocked 1:45 off of my PR... I just hope they don't find out the course was short or something :)

I think the 30DS is really helping get my legs stronger. I didn't do it at all this week though, to let my legs recover before the race. I thought there was a good chance I'd get my PR but had no idea I'd get it by that much.

I came through the first mile in 7:17 and literally said "Holy s*&t" out loud when I looked at my watch.

    yay! so happy!

Well done to everybody so far - you're all doing fantastically!

I was away from the gym for a week due to exams so I'm only getting back into it now. Cardio fitness suffers so quickly and I found running hills hard! That said, my legs are so rested it's lovely - I'll be checking back in at the end of June to see how we're all doing!
