For me it was always hard to achieve my goals (losing weight), maybe that's why I always given up quickly.
This time I'm not putting numbers in my list of goals, and it's not going to be long term either.
Micro goals for February
1. Go to the gym 2x week
2. Eat more veggies and less carbs
3. Don't skip meals
4. Drink my water daily quota.
Do you have any micro goals to accomplish as well?

The first thing on your list should be - eat at a caloric deficit.
How much weight do you plan to lose? Have you chosen a reasonable calorie goal?
Checklists help some people; I don't mean to discourage you. But everything will fall into place once you successfully eat under your calorie goal. That's all it takes. And it should most definitely be long term - you want your efforts to last.0 -

Actually I plan to do a lot of short terms goals so I can reach a long term one.
I've got to lose around 40 pounds.
I'm trying to keep myself as realistic as possible. I know if I start right now with restrictions I might give up along the way.
So that's why I decided to go with this for the first month. Next month I plan to go further and maybe try reducing calories and all.

The only thing I might add to your list is get a food scale. That way when you want to add logging your food, watching your calories you are all set to go. And I applaud your baby steps to last your life attitude!0
