Are you aiming to just eat lower carbs or do you cap your carbs at a specific number?
I do keto. I aim to keep my body in ketosis by eating no more than 20 carbs a day. Others may do 30-40-50 carbs depending on what their bodies can handle.
This is what my macros look like:
1357 kcal Daily Calorie Intake
20 g Carbs (6%, 80 kcal)
93 g Protein (27%, 372 kcal)
101 g Fat (67%, 905 kcal)
The aim is to hit the protein goal, stay under the carb goal and eat as much fat that fills you up. But no more than 101g of fat. Fat makes you feel full. Many times you don't hit that fat cap. Which means, less calories overall.

Oh, I'm glad I stumbled upon this. I've been trying to figure out what I want my macros to be. The calculator is very helpful.
I started Atkins/Keto last year and had great results along with my exercise regiment. A hip injury kept me out of the gym the last quarter of the year, but I'm feeling better now and ready to get my last 10lbs off.
To the OP: can you tell us more what you've been doing? What are your macros? Do you exercise? Sometimes just a small adjustment can help. What are you trying to achieve? The less weight you have to lose, the slower it comes off.

This posting is a little older now, but I thought I'd chime in anyway. I have done low carb on and off for the last couple years. In recent months, back on it and feeling great again.
Anyway- when I have hit a plateau (even though it's clear I have much more to lose), sometimes I've found if I just stick to it then in a few days to a week I break through the plateau and start losing again. Other times its been more stubborn and the thing that has broken through it for me is combining low carb with intermittent fasting (IF). In general I find with low carb I am less hungry so IF is way easier than when I am a carb burner. Not sure you're familiar with IF but it means different things to different people. Some people may fast a day or a couple days a week and eat normal low carb other days. For me I will switch to a 18:6 or 16:8 for a day or two or more and it breaks the plateau. In other words on those IF days I only eat between 12-6pm (eat during 6 hours, fasting the other 18) or 12-8pm (8 hours for eating, 16 for fasting). So I still get my calories/macros and fuel my body but only during those hours. People do different hours, but those work best for me since most of the "fasting" I am sleeping, keeps from eating too late, and my mornings are always pretty busy anyway.
Maybe something to consider anyway. Good luck!0 -
Thanks everyone! I did some "rearranging" of foods and increased my activity and rid myself of UN-warranted stress! 30 more to go to reach my goal!0
