Back to the Old Grind!

Hey everyone!! Well it has definitely been a while since I've been on this site! For a while I somewhat fell off the Weight Loss wagon and lost my groove ( for a lack of better terms) I can say that It almost felt as if I never even tried to lose weight! Yes, it got that bad! Of course I gained some of the weight I loss back and fell right into the same old habits! I couldn't believe myself! If there was anyway to describe what I was going through, I would say it felt like I was just going through the motions of life and not even remotely caring about my health! I felt like I was watching my life from the sidelines! Anyways, It took some emotionally breakdowns and a few pep talks from my sister (my biggest supporter) to really bring me back to reality!!

I am now feeling better than I felt in a while and making daily progressions to a happier and healthier me! I am taking it day by day but I do feel like I am moving in the right direction now..I am excited about my health again and making conscious efforts to be more healthy and it feels great! I feel as though the reason I did fall off the wagon is because I had almost no support here at home, besides my sister! But she lives about 2 hours away and we can't talk everyday so I really do have to just depend on myself..

Anyway, my main reason for coming back to this site is to reach out and seek for some support! I know we can all agree that this weight loss journey is not always easy and there are times when you just want to give up! I have been there! I just want to find a place where I can meet people who share the same interest and common goals who can send that extra motivation when needed! I hope I can find that here! Thanks and I hope everyone is doing well! :)

Hey! I also fell off the wagon with my health. I was doing great for like four months, losing a good amount of weight and inches, then I got sinus issues and it became so bad I didn't work out and eventually just stopped caring about what I ate as well. I am slowly getting back into better eating habits, and I have done a great job about cutting out soda. Now I'm on to getting my workouts in daily. So I am just prayin I have it in me to keep it up. If you want, add me as a friend and we can push each other to keep it going.

Well you have definitely come to the right place. There are some amazing people on this site who are supportive and motivating. I always say I wouldn't be putting in as much effort as I have been if it wasn't for this site and the people on it. Feel free to add me if you like :) I wish you the best of luck in your healthy living journey :)

Sounds like we're in the same boat. I lost 50 pounds last year, but plateaued after the beginning of the year...I'd pretty much maintained, but in the last month I gained 10 pounds back... then I saw a video of myself with my son before all the weight loss and that was the motivation I needed. I don't EVER want to be that big again...

Good luck to you on your journey
  • Thank you Amscobra! Once you fall off it is really hard to jump back on into the swing of things! Its like the old habits consume you! Its good that you are committed to losing weight no matter what! I know what you mean, I am hoping this burst of inspiration does not fade out on me! I sent a request so that we can definitely help each other stay motivated! :)
  • Hey DeviantDarkwolf! Thanks! I think this site is really great too! I plan on being more involved so that I can have something to refer to when I need extra motivation! Its good having this community of people all supporting each other in healthy living. It is not easy doing this alone, so thanks! I sent a request! :)
  • Thank you Desiree219! We really are on the same boat! Last year I lost 40lbs and was feeling so great! I finally made it to ONEderland and then I don't know what happened, I guess I started to get comfortable and that is when the plateau occurred! It frustrates me to think if I would have just stuck with my plan I would be at goal by now! But no use in living in the past, its all about making positive changes this very moment. So good for us right! :)
