Help! I am confused about my Fitbit Steps sync' with MYFITNESSPAL

i just tried to link my Fitbit with MFP so I can coordinate my steps/activity with my food/nutrition logging. The process seemed fairly simple, but once sync' dot said that the 8700 steps I walked today allowed me 20 additional calories. how can that be correct? My caloric goal is 1258 cal a day and I have logged about 950 or so. I am sure there is an obvious calculation that I am too dense to get, but I am confused. Can anyone help shed light ??
Thanks!
Thanks!

*dot was supposed to say MFP0

Try disconnecting a reconnecting the fitbit to MFP again. Also, it takes some time for the full exercise to be logged from fitbit to mfp0
