Ok... while I can memorize an entire textbook on Psychology, I cannot for the life of me do mathematical equations. I have googled and googled and I just cannot figure this out. Can some math whiz (anyone better than me is considered a whiz in my books!!) please help lol...

The other day I ran exactly 2.5 km... and it took me 14:52 (slow, I know, I am used to running on an elliptical and am right now working on distance outside, then I will work on speed). I am trying to figure out how many km/hour I ran....

Thanks in advance!!!

Slightly less than 10 km/hr...unless someone with a calculator can do better, that was my "out of my head" calculation.

Just over 10 km per hour. Divide your time by 60 and then divide your distance by that number :) So...14.52 divided by 60 (minutes) is .242. Then take your distance, 2.5, and divide it by .242 which is 10.3. Then thank God for calculators :)

I did the "well if 16 minutes was 2.5, then about half an hour was 5, so somewhere around an hour would be next to 10" method. :)

And thank God for calculators.

    14 minutes 52 second = 14.87 minutes
    (60 minues x 2.5 km ) / 14.87 minutes = 10.09 km/hr

my final answer 10.09 km/hr
