iPhone walking calories disappears

My iPhone is supposed to track my steps. Why, after almost 5,000 steps, did it disappear at the end of the day?
Did anybody else have this problem or am I the only one out of millions of users to have this problem?
I have the iphone6 plus. Today is the first day in two weeks that I got up to 5,000 steps. And suddenly the steps disappear after I tentatively put in hula hooping as an excercise. I didn't even hula hoop yet! I just was testing it to see if it would help me burn the correct amount of calories. And when I deleted hula hooping, the step tracker absolutely disappeared without a warning.
What's wrong with this app?
Why doesn't it save information?
Does anybody else have this problem?
I'm really pissed off. I loved the app before this and now I'm worried that it's going to randomly delete information for no reason whatsoever.

I'd like to know.

Sometimes when I finish a run, my steps become negative calories and cancel out my run calories. I have to go sync all the apps manually and it eventually sorts itself out. Though, I've since turned of negative adjustments so that's stopped now.
Anyway, yes, the app can be buggy.0 -
You can force close the app and restart it.
To force close an app: double click the home button which will display pages of your most recently used apps. Scroll to MFP and swipe it up.0
