Is anyone else trying to lose weight for an event but hoping to keep it off? Or are you trying to lose weight in general for a better life style?

To have a child(ren), so of course; I won't keep all of it off but when I am done, I'll proceed to get rid of the weight; for life!

I have been over weight my whole life. I quit smoking 2 years ago and I decided I'm tired of being uncomfortable all the time. So I started making better choices and here I am a month later and 26 pounds down. So for me it is a life goal. I do use temporary functions as opportunities to push myself. Good luck to you!

Technically losing weight so I can someday have a baby and have a healthy pregnancy ... (Wont have to worry about gestational diabetes, miscarriages, complications, etc) But ultimately want to keep the weight off for life

I'm in it for the long haul. If you want to lose weight quick for an event, I know how to do it but it won't last.
