Well I want to be sexy, also, but my brother was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I don't want to be the next one. I'm in my mid 40s. I would add you but I don't know how to. So, you can either add me or tell me how to add you

Hi. I'll be 64 in less than 2 weeks and need to lose quite a bit of weight. Yesterday I saw my doctor, and she said try to lose 5 pounds, but the truth is, I need to lose about 70 - 80 pounds. I am totally inactive. I had total knee replacements in 2014, and my knees didn't respond too well as they were so damaged beforehand. I'm having continual knee pain and swelling and am totally inactive as a result. I go back to see the doctor in 6 months, and I want to lose 4-5 pounds a month by then, if possible. I don't have diabetes in my family, but I do worry about it because I eat so much sugar. My mother was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease just over 2 years ago and is a very stable Stage 4 & doesn't need dialysis. She's 85. Recently, both my younger sister and aunt were also diagnosed with Stage 2 or Stage 3 kidney disease, so I know that could be in my future, as well. I'd like to delay that, if I can't prevent it for myself. This is my 2nd day on this site. I'd never heard of it until yesterday when my doctor told me about it. I don't know how to do the adding, but would also like some partners to keep up with. Thank you.

I'm 51 but high cholesterol and blood pressure. Years of looking after everyone else except me has taken it's toll. A few years ago I lost 25 lbs on MYP before family responsibilities took my time and energies elsewhere. I'm back now because I know it works.

55 year old fart... looking to drop 100 ...yup its a big number but i'm in it for the long haul, logged 50 days so far and dropped 25 lbs.not to shabby if i do say so myself. ..this is the place to do it. great bunch of folks here, plenty of support and knowledge. ..remember... it takes time and patience..you didn't put the weight on in a day and it won't come off in a day either... log your food... every bite..eat at a deficit.. get a food scale it is a huge help... i highly recommend a fitness tracker... i have a fitbit charge and love it... it really is a self motivator..and move... doesn't matter what you do. just get up and move... me i'm walking..little tough now in the dead of winter but i do it everyday. each day add a bit more and push yourself a bit more..i just hit 100k steps last week a new high ...Trust me. if i can do this anyone can... i'm here every single day.

I am looking to lose weight to just be healthier at the age of 58. Have to focus on healthy eating and adding exercise; especially a bit of weight training.
