I didn't read the article but yeah dreaming will be my workout this morning
I'm tired and punchy and sick of having to drive with ice falling out of the sky. Real exercise will come later today.0 -

Red flags:
1. "Tone"
2. "DailyMail"
3. Stock image of a guy who wouldn't have gotten anywhere close to where he is if his attention were regularly captured by glorification of something so insignificant.
4. Willfully reducing gym ethic -- "having the same effects as actually hitting the gym" -- without making an honest distinction about it being a fraction of a fraction of the effects; phrasing it in a way as though to suggest a good deal of effects overlap
Did I miss any? I regret giving that website traffic - typical clickbait garbage.

Hahahaha. That is hitting an all-time low of laziness. How insulting to people who actually put time and work into their bodies through exercise, as well as people who are disabled and can't do so. "If you just imagine yourself at the gym, you will build muscle and become stronger!" What's even more sad is people who will believe the way Daily Mail twisted this. *sigh*0 -

Thanks for the link. Part of my therapy when I was relearning to walk was to sit outside a coffee shop and watch passers-by walking, and imagine that my legs were doing the same. I can't say that this made a huge difference as I was having lots of other therapy at the same time, but this article certainly makes sense to me.

I can easily imagine that ideation exercises of this kind could help in recovery after serious injury, especially neurological injury. For everyone else, yeah, very funny. The usual "magic potion" thinking.0
