BMI Measurement

What is the best way to determine my BMI? I have an Aria scale where it tells me, but I don't know how accurate it is. I have lost almost 10 lbs (from 173.5 to 164) and about 3 inches from my waist since Jan 2. Aria says my BMI is 40.4%.. If that's correct, I still have a lot of work to do. I'm not too worried about what the scale numbers tell me since I am loosing inches, i was in between sizes and now i wear the smaller size and my energy has changed 100%.. I guess I'm just curious on the most accurate way to track my BMI.

BMI and body fat are very different. BMI is only based on weight and height. The body fat scales are highly inaccurate. See if you can find a BodPod, Dexa Scan or hydrostatic body fat measurement available in your area.0

I'm pretty sure you're referring to body fat percentage, not BMI.0 -
BMI is a calculation based on your height and weight:

When you mention a percent you are talking about bodyfat %. Different things.0 -

Thank you! I thought I was "obese" according to the 404.4% the scale said. I'm happy to see I have moved into the "overweight" category. Baby steps.0 -
Thanks, everyone. I will see if I can find a BodPod or Dexa Scan in my area.....0
