i'm about to begin the 3rd week of my new, healthy lifestyle, & you want to know something?

I FEEL AMAZING.

i feel ♫ harder, better, faster, stronger ♪
also lighter, steadier, less hungry, & generally more optimistic. it's been 2wks & i find myself more motivated than i have been in 6yrs. no longer am i spending my days sitting on the computer with the shades drawn, wondering why i feel lazy & unaccomplished. no longer do i head to the refrigerator when things get hairy, or when i feel anxious or lonely... i'm getting out there, eating healthy, building strength & endurance, & meeting wonderful ppl along the way.
i'm gaining control of my life.
it hasn't been easy, & i'll have rough days, we all do. but the important thing to remember is that this is our time. we are here to make a difference in our lives & each others'. i'm so proud of myself, so proud of all of us... these tears are 100% happy.

& this is only 2wks in... i can't imagine how incredible it will feel to finally reach my goal!! ☀ ☮ ☆ ♥ !

    That's great and all... just make sure you go through all the "required newbie reading / frequently referenced threads" at the top of each forum. One covers the standard stages of weight loss; it'll come in handy if/when you hit your first plateau.

    Also; get as many measurements as you can. The scale is not the be-all end-all. If that were the case, I would've thrown in the towel a long time ago as my beloved Tanita scale only reports a 6lb loss. Lo & behold, I've lost a whopping 11lbs of fat and gained 5lbs of muscle.
