No matter how much I eat, can't gain weight
Any good foods with high calories ?
Also I eat a lot of 'junk food' yet never put a pound on when I do eat it ?
I have quite an active job and generally active everyday,
5ft3 102lbs (small bones/frame, so I've been told)
Thanks X

Go see your doctor. It could be a thyroid issue. I have a friend facing the same issue.
Good luck.
If it isn't thyroid. Track every calorie you eat. Add in that you are very active and figure out how many calories you need to gain weight.
Steaks, protein, smoothies. Eat constantly but keep it healthy. :P
Junk food doesn't mean you will gain weight if you are burning it off, you are just putting unhealthy food in you

There's a good list of calorie-dense foods in the opening post of this thread:

How many calories are you eating? Generally, thr people who cant gain just arent eating enough.0 -
Yes I was going to ask how many calories you eat and what you eat.
Have your tried to add protein supplements/shakes to your day?0 -

You should start weight training it will help you gain some muscle, and you should eat foods with high protein0

Average amount of calories can range from 1,500-2500 , cause of my job most days miss lunch so wanting to know what high calorie foods there are ie snack form ,
I can't eat white bread, greasy/really oily foods, tomatoes0 -
Macadamia nuts are really high on calories
100g = 718 calories.
Peanut butter 32g = 190 calories
Milk 1 cup = 148 calories0 -
Cool thanks0

There is the problem. You aren't consistently eating enough calories to gain weight. Depending how much you workout and how active your job it, you might nee 2500+ calories consistently.
How active is your job and what is your workout routine? The latter, in conjunction with your macros, will determine if the weight gain is muscle and fat, or just fat.

Take high calorie snacks to your job. I am sure between clients, you will be able to sneak in some peanuts, a protein bar, etc... What I find beneficial is preplanning my food diary to ensure I am addressing my nutritional requirements.
Additionally, keep in mind, than your weight gainin will be fat. If you want subsequent muscle gains, a progressive lifting program is going to be required.0 -
Cool thanks for your help will take this into account0

If you do decide you want to start training, this thread has a plethora of lifting programs. I would personally recommend NROL4W and StrongCurves as good starting points.0

You are probably eating less than you think. Do you eat breakfast. If not. You need to. Easiest way to add caloriea. Up your healthy fats. Fats = 9 cals a gram.0 -

She just needs to eat more, period. Doesn't matter when. Lots of people don't gain weight on 2k calories.0 -
Honestly, if you know you are eating 2000 and not gaining, why aren't you eat 2500 if you want to gain, instead of creating those threads, srs0
