Am I losing weight too quickly?

I'm 27, female, currently weigh 145 pounds, my goal is around 130 pounds-ish (I'm 5 foot 3) and I started at 170 pounds. I first started mid-September 2015 at 1,200 calories to lose 1 pound a week. That went fine but I was losing a little quicker than that and started to find it difficult and boring, so about 2 months ago I went up to 1480 aiming to lose half a pound a week but, bar Christmas and New Year festivities, I've still been losing about a pound a week. I was just wondering, at my height and weight and close to my goal, is this still too fast? I haven't been finding it that hard and usually go over my weekly net calories by a couple hundred, but most days I'm a little under and treat days send me over a bit.

What do you think? Shall I up my daily allowance a bit so it's actually about half a pound a week?

Thanks :)

IMO if you're not starved or unhappy just keep on doing what you're doing and enjoy the results..

Our maintenance calories are around 1700 so a cut of 500 calories a day will ensure a consistent loss of around 500g a week. This is a nice, steady rate of weight loss.

I'd say that if you are eating 1480 calories, feel fit and well and not deprived, are hitting your daily goal for protein and you are still losing at a nice steady rate of 1lb a week I think that sounds absolutely perfect.

If you're finding it easy keep going
Looks like your TDEE will be around 2000

You may find it easier when you get within 2-5lbs of your goal weight to start to add back 100 cals per week so that you ease into maintenance..it will help avoid any great scale jump..but if your scale does jump just hold firm for a couple of weeks until it stabilises then add back more

Clearly her maintenance calories are higher than 1700 if she's losing a lb a week on average eating close on 1500

1 pound a week is not too fast - no matter the height. I'm confused about the finding it "boring" part. What are you finding "boring" about moving towards your goal?

I meant I found eating at 1200 calories boring so I moved up to 1480. I just meant that I felt restricted.
