Your Favorite Coffee?

I have to admit, I enjoy coffee and love to try new ground coffees every month or so. There is a wide selection with some being more expensive than others. I tend to lean towards the bold flavors. I want to know if any of you coffee lovers out there have recommendations for ground coffees? I would love to get a coffee grinder eventually, but for now I use ground coffee. Thanks everyone! Cheers! :)

My absolute fave is Cafe Verona by Starbucks. It's a little pricey, but a nice treat every now and then. :drinker:

We(my husband and I ) are big coffee drinkers. Literally before MFP we'd drink 1-2 POTS of coffee a day, with creamer of course. I decided to get a keurig for a few reasons:

    1. We get to try a variety of coffee flavors, strenghs, and varities without a "whole bag" committment.

    2. I've noticed since using the K cups we drink less coffee which not only saves money, but calories :)

If you want a bold coffee try Tully's kona coffee. We have it in K cups, but I'd bet they make it in reg ground bags too.
Green Mountain makes a really bold coffee blend, I think I'ts called Black Magic. (or something like that).

I'm a wimpy girl when it comes to DARK roasts and prefer my coffee more mild!

My mom and her husband LOVE the organic coffees..there is a taste difference, and in coffee you do get what you pay for!

I brew Starbucks at home. Bit pricey, but that doesn't bother me at all. If its something I enjoy and the quality is good then I don't care about the cost!

My favorite coffee for almost 15 years is Nescafe and with just milk and no sugar is absolutely very enjoyable :-)

Peet's is one of the best I've found. They have quite a good selection of roasts, will sell whole beans or even grind to your specifications. A little pricey but worth it if you ask me!

I love coffee too and I have really started liking the bolder flavors. I havent experimented much, so far I look for Seattles Best and Maxwell House Pacific Blend, but Starbucks is great, if expensive...but what isnt? I cant remember SB or Strbks exact flavor, I just look for the darkest. In a pinch, Aldis Hawaiian (or is it Jamaican?) works.
Add some fat free half & half and a splash of fat free Hazelnut and Im good!

I deliver packages and some folks get a special kind sent to their homes that smells delicious through the wrapping, I think its Rainforest maybe? I keep meaning to jot that down.

My staple is a Hazelnut flavored grind through Gevalia.

Other favs include Ethiopia Sidamo from Starbucks
    Tully's
    Newman's Own (Bold)
    and Thomas Hammer

I used to be able to find a "White Zombie" (white coffee/espresso) that was just delicious! But alas, that was when I was living in the Pacific NW where Coffee is it's own separate language. Southerner's know their sweet tea, just not their coffee. :-/

We like bold flavors at our house. (I have to admit it, I'm a coffee snob) I won't drink colored water, I need my coffee to chew back! (happens from running over the road as a trucker) I like Sumatra and my wifes favorite is the Kumodo Dragon blend at Starbucks. Sunflower market has some good organic blends. Their Sumatra and Kona are good, but not as bold as Starbucks, but have a better flavor and if you use an espreso grind and more than suggested amount it'll be nice and bold. We use 3 1/8th measuring cups of beans for a 10cup pot. Enjoy, time for my second cup. I'm a purest though. coffee is consummed black, add cream and it's dessert.

At home it's all about the Dunkin. Out? McDonald's has the best coffee hands down. Strange, but true!

I drink way to much coffee and do not intend to stop anytime soon. For my regular wake up in the morning coffee...I usually drink Folgers classic roast or butternut brewed very strong. For my afternoon pot, I like to treat myself...Starbucks (a variety of kinds) or Kauai Hawaiian-the chocolate macadamia flavor is great! There is also a local brand called Jumpy Monkey that is good-the hazlenut flavor is my fave. I like my coffee strong and drink it black! Yum...I need to go pour me a refill now!

Save up for a grinder. I have a grinder that was about £30 (therefore probably around $45) and the *difference* it makes to the coffee is incredible. Freshly ground coffee > packaged ground coffee.

Ground or not ground, I highly recommend Nepalese coffee for a silky smooth texture... but if you like a bit of a kick from your coffee, try out Monsoon Malabar - has a spicy ring to it. Order from/walk into a specialist coffee shop and ask for it pre-ground if you need. That way you know it's been freshly ground (and hopefully the beans were freshly roasted too).

I used to spend all my spare cash on Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, but I have had to give up that delight because I was draining not only my coffee cup, but my wallet too.

Edit: This is assuming that you're making coffee using a filter - I find this gives the best results.

Usually when I make espresso I will go for cheaper but still full-bodied varieties. I haven't been able to make espresso for a while because my regular coffee machine's in the loft and my other coffee machine does filter. I wouldn't spend more than £5 ($7-8??) per 250 g coffee if I'm going to make espresso with it. Usually a simple blend like Italian Roast or African Blend.

    Eight o' Clock coffee :)

Me, too. Whole bean. And cold brewing it is a really different and nice taste, too.

Gevalia Stockholm blend....bold but not bitter. I use it in my Keurig too. Get a grinder! The aroma of fresh brewed fresh ground coffee is the best! The best coffee you can get in the supermarket is the 8 O Clock....it is fairly inexpensive also.:drinker:

Grinders are pretty inexpensive and grinding fresh for each pot or espresso is the best way to go. Wal-Mart has a grinder for $18 with presets for grinds. We just bought one for one of my staff as a gift with beans of course and she reports it works great. I have a 20 year old braun that I paid 9bucks for and it keeps on plugging away. Enjoy! If you are in the northwest Otis Spunkmeyer used to make a San francisco blend that was awesome. Peets and Seatles best are also good brands.
