List of high calorie foods
It's hard for some people because it's mostly a mental game. Most people struggle with it because you are intentionally gaining fat. And then you are complicating it with a history of an ED, which is going to make it even more difficult.0 -

Avocados? I could eat avocados until the cows come home, they're both high fat and nutritious. But unfortunately, I don't have a problem gaining weight

Don't worry about eating clean. If you want to that is fine, but it is not necessary. I would say focus on eating high calorie foods you like.0

Eat because your body needs the macro and micro nutrients in food in order to function and stay alive. Take care of yourself because that is your job and just keep remembering that food It's fuel, not reward and not punishment. Just fuel to keep you going.

Sure, trade anorexia for orthorexia, not a good move.0 -
What is clean though???
You have to define clean?
When I do my bulk I add in a lot of ice cream, brownies, cookies....0 -
There are some high calorie shakes out there that might help.0

I will at times, but not as often.
Right now I honestly don't feel like eating ice cream
But come summer that may change.

Everybody saying eat, seating in front of a plate full of food might be a challenge in itself. My advice drink your meals (not all of them). Get some calorie dense foods, I.e: nuts, oatmeal, fruits or even veggies. Blend it drink it down, plenty of recipes out there on the web. Get yourself some protein powder/gainers as wellZoe831jmexx wrote: »getting over anorexia, gaining weight slowly, any tips I would be very grateful

I get what you mean. At 100ish lbs and 5'4 diagnosed w anorexia, it isn't only the eating part that's hard, but the mental part as well. I suggest to stop counting (easier said than done tho!)0

I would say try starting off by drinking high calorie smoothies/shakes that will help you put on weight as they arent as difficult as completing meals.0
