Hello everyone! I'm going to the beach this Saturday. I'm not looking to lose any drastic amount of weight or anything in a week! However, anybody got any good tips for diet and exercise other than the normal things!

Also, I need help/advice on this, we will be cooking most nights and eating out 3 nights! I know there will be tons of
Junk food! Since non of the people I ma going with are dieting or anything what can I do? I am thinking I am just going to have to take a week off from exercise too because how will I? I guess if I was going with family it would be easier but ohh well! Any help from you guys would be awesome! Thanks!

I always try to tone up right before the beach with weights, squats, abs, push-ups, etc. Will make you look tighter and firmer.

For exercise while you're there, why don't you go for walks on the beach? Walking on sand is a great workout. You can do it right when you wake up or at night after dinner. Maybe your friends will want to join you? If not, then just get up earlier to get a nice long walk in.

As for eating... Eat whatever you want, just keep the portions in control so you stay as close to your daily food goal as possible.

Swimming in the ocean burns calorie like crazy, so you can use that as your vacation form of exercise! As for food, you can always prepare/ bring your own food, but if not, portion control is your friend.

At restaurants, just avoid anything fried/ crispy/ crunchy/ creamy/ smothered/ sauteed. Stick to grilled/ broiled/ steamed, and order the dressings and/or sauces on the side if you can!

Try to avoid sodium and soda, they'll make you bloated. I agree with that a workout before the beach is really good, especially some ab work outs. Maybe some pilates to help with your posture. The better your posture, the leaner you look (:

this is HUGE. when you're at the beach, try the best you can to avoid sodas, fruit juices, and even smoothies. i also read that ranch dressing used as dip can really be bad for bloating. i would order water wherever you go unless youre going out for a night of fun (drinking or whatever) but drink water the most!!

This is good! I'm sure there will be lots of beach soccer to play as well!
