I think so but more in the realm of a higher self or higher guidance.

Human senses are very limited to we just may not be able to sense everything that is actually there. For instance, my dogs sense many things that I don't... so it's not paranormal, just different abilities. Even different people have varying abilities to sense things. For instance, I'm very sensitive to magnetic fields; others don't even notice. So if I talk about it I'm "weird". I think energy is all over the place, in a variety of forms. So what I'm trying to say is I think it's all stuff that exists, is normal, but not all people can sense it.

So, for dead people, ie ghosts. I believe in Energy. It cannot be created nor destroyed (supposedly). So it's plausible to me that sometimes the energy from a deceased person will hang around, detected by some and not by others.

This is what I think about the paranormal. Not to be divisive here, but the Holy Spirit is one of my Best Friends!

How can it not be destroyed? Once you're dead, you're dead.

I'd love to believe in spirits and ghosts, Unsolved Mysteries was a great show, but it's just not realistic to me.

I believe these spirits are manifested within ourselves. We just don't give ourselves enough credit for being the amazing creatures that we are.

Energy certainly cannot be destroyed. It can be converted into other states. People definitely can be destroyed.

But to that point, I don't think there's any mysterious extra energy floating about after a person dies. When a person dies, cells are still alive, heat is still being radiated off of the body, and a number of processes still continue after death. The body is a machine, working off of the fuel you give it to create energy. When you stop fueling it, it stops converting that matter into energy. When the energy is used up the processes stop, decomposition, blah blah. That's oversimplified, but the point is I believe the energy is accounted for.

There WAS a study done in the early 1900s where somebody tried to measure the soul leaving the body but I am pretty sure that was a flawed study and nobody replicated it.

I live in a "haunted" house, no physical presence, words and sounds. For example, I woke up one night and a voice asked me, "are you awake?". I was home alone.
