I have been at this for about 3 weeks so far and I have been weighing myself using my wii fit. Today I went out and purchased a scale. There was a 6 pound differnece between the wii and the scale. The scale also would not turn on properly, I would have to take the battery out in order to get it to reset and work.

I am just looking for anyones opinion on the matter, i.e. should I return the scale and get a new one and if that one shows a difference should I start tracking my weight over?

I haven't noticed much of a weight loss, but I do feel like my cloths are fitting differently and have noticed a slight change in my messurments.

To me the actual number doesn't make a difference. I'd just be consistent. Either do all your weighs that you count on one or the other, and stick with that as your gauge. If you are feeling good, and sticking with it, the numbers will go down eventually. Keep going girl!

Yes, return it. If you plan to use the a scale from now on then you need to figure out the difference between your Wii and the scale. For example, once you get a new scale get on it and record your weight. Then get on your Wii and see how much that says you weigh. If it says 6 lbs more than your scale, then you can adjust your starting weight accordingly.

I agree with voog, stick with one form of measurement.
If you want accuracy, try an old-school scale at the doctor or gym.

I would return the scale and buy one that you can "zero out" or tare. My two cents :drinker:

Have you been using your wii fit on a carpeted or padded surface? I read that carpeting can affect the wii fit's measurements (measuring smaller than you actually are). If possible, try measuring yourself with your wii fit board on a hard surface (tile, hardwood) and see if these measurements are closer to the number you see on the scale.

It could also be the scale. I might return it and see if I got a better result with a new scale.

    Best of luck!
