I have never had this before but with my new running shoes and my new everyday tennis shoes, I am getting toe cramps in my 3 little toes on my left foot after wearing them for a while or after a long run. Ideas? I made sure my laces are not too tight but have no other ideas.

Try eating a banana before you work out or drink a cup of tonic water. Is it a cramp or more of a Charlie Horse where your toes uncontrollably crunch up?

It starts off as an ache then if I crunch my toes it hurts more at first then relief.

Did it happen with other sneakers? Or other shoes in general? The shoes may be pinching, just enough to cause cramps but not enough to cause pain.

It is likely your new shoes. One of my running shoes i have to be more aware of not letting my toes curl at all or it becomes uncomfortable quickly. Try to focus on keeping no tension in your foot. Really decide if that outer toe portion is too short for your foot.

It's most likely your new shoes. Maybe they don't fit properly or your feet are getting accustomed to them? Doesn't sound like a physical issue though.

Thanks for the help. I will try to keep working the shoes in and hopefully it goes away.
