Hello Everyone,
I find myself having a hard time actually eating food. I will go into the kitchen numerous times but will not get anything to eat. Most days I don't until after 12pm. Can someone please help me.

Maybe you just need to sass up your breakfast. What is your typical meal plan for the day? What are your average calorie totals usually at?
I also have a hard time eating in the morning. I don't know what it is but I just don't feel like eating. I also used to hate eggs but once I added some cheese, bacon bits and fresh vegetables to the mix, it has definitely started to be easier to eat in the morning. Though I still have to admit that there are some days when I have to force the food down. It’s just how some of us are built but if I don’t eat in the morning, by lunch time I’m ravenous so I know I have to eat something before I go to work. And besides, it’s better for your metabolism if you eat small, regular meals.
Just tell us all you can about your usual schedule so we can get a better idea on what to advise.0 -
Most days my calorie intake is 1000 or below. I don't know why I don't have the urge to eat.0

I have found it easier to eat if I've prepared things before hand. When I come home from the grocery store, I clean and cut up the veggies and fruits and put them in baggies. Sometimes I even put them in serving sized portions in a baggie. It does help. Get some string cheese that you can just pick up and eat, yogurt, etc. These are some healthy choices. You can also put your leftovers from your cooking into meals so you just need to pick one up and pop it in the microwave. ( I use some of the ziplock containers) Anything that's easy. I sometimes feel like this and my counselor said it's part of the depression I'm dealing with. The more I can do when I'm feeling good, the less I have to do when I feel down and don't want to do anything.
You might also try exercising (I don't know if you do that already). It's a natural mood enhancer and helps me feel better. It also makes me feel hungry a little bit after I'm finished.
If you would like to add me to your friends list, you may do that.
Good luck with your journey.0 -
Perhaps your metabolism is running slow? I was like that before I began making life changes. I would never eat breakfast and I would eat around noon (lunch). You need to rev up your metabolism. Start eating breakfast, try for smaller meals; eating every 2-3 hours or a meal and snacks (whatever you feel comfortable with). This does not happen overnight; it takes time. Also work out 3-5 days a week; this too helps in increasing ones metabolism.
Now if you continue to feel this way after a couple of weeks then I would higlhy recommend seeing a doctor to get your thyroid tested and other tests your doctor may recommend. In all honesty, I would make an appointment now. If anything you could do it now for peace of mind and your doctor can help you with your lifestyle change.0 -
Thank you all so much. Weight loss for me has been a life long struggle. I have went from losing 20 pounds in 2 weeks using the Atkins diet to losing 1-2 pounds a week using a healthier diet.0
