Not meeting daily calorie intake but not feeling hungry?

Hi all,
I'm generally new to this and would appreciate any advice! My situation is this... While tracking my food intake on the my fitness pal app I've noticed that I'm not meeting the minimum 1200 calorie intake per day. The thing is I haven't been feeling hungry or starved. I've recently taken to eating clean, sticking to eggs, lots of veggies and some beans for lunch and chicken and vegetables at night. I don't work out extensively, some cardio on the weekends and Pilates a few times during the week. My goal is to lost about 5-10 pounds and tone up but first and foremost want to know I'm treating my body well.
Since eating mostly clean, I've never felt better. My skin has cleared up, I wake up feeling rested and have generally more energy day. Although I still realize only eating around 900 calories a day isn't healthy. Any help/advice is really appreciated!

Welcome!
What kinds of things were you eating before that got you to want to lose some weight? You didn't gain weight eating 900 calories per day, obviously. Can you add some of those foods back to your diet? Or add some healthy calorie dense foods like nuts, avocado, olive oil? I don't notice any fats in your list of things you're eating (besides the small amount in the eggs) and fats are an essential part of your diet.0 -
Unless you weigh your food with a food scale, you're likely to be eating more than you think. However, if you truly are only consuming around 900 calories per day, the hunger should come within days. Your body will let you know it's not happy. The first week or two is the honeymoon period for most dieters; they feel less hungry due to all the dietary changes.0

Pretty common "problem" with newbies I've noticed. You're probably eating more than 1200 calories especially if you're guesstimating portion sizes.0

^^^All of that too. I'm embarrassed that I forgot to include a "make sure you're weighing and measuring accurately" disclaimer. Very good call.0

Thank you for the replies! BarbieAS-prior to the last month, it was a lot of awful foods. Processed meals, take out, pizza and nightly glasses of wine. I do add olive oils to the lean meats I make but I will definitely take the suggestion of adding more nuts and healthy fats.0
