I'm sharing this with you all, because i know i need the support of those that understand what i'm going through. My friends and family are supportive but i don't think they truly understand. My weight depresses me, and i'm doing something about it! My first mini goal isn't a weight goal.... I reached my heaviest i have EVER been about 2 and a half weeks ago... and i have a flight to new york in august. My motivation right now, is that plane flight. I LOVE to travel, and the last few times i've travelled, the plane seats have been....tight...*Sigh* it's hard for me to make that realization... so now i'm terrified. TERRIFIED that i'll be so embarassed infront of my fiance, his little sister, and his grandparents (all going to new york with us).... So i'm on day 9 of walking at least 1 mile a day. and day 20 of tracking my food. I've lost 6 pounds so far, but this weekend was...scarey. Birthdays and father's day...i really hope i didn't screw everything up...i've been over by a bit a few days this weigh-period. I weigh in on thursdays. So, i'm here, i'm walking (walked 1.3 miles today!) and trying to eat right.... I hate obcessing over food, SO i'm hoping this place will be more productive than some previous weight loss adventures i've been on! oh, last weigh-period i maintained weight..that was a little scary! I'm hoping it's because my body doesn't know what to do about my walking every day, and hopefully this thursday i'll see a result!

  • Good luck! I think family occasions like father's day etc are hard, but don't beat yourself up too much if you falter one week. Just start over on Thursday and try again :) Well done on your walks.

I know what you mean about the plane seats. I travel alot and this recent trip was the final straw. It is okay to go over a little every now and then because MFP already factors in a calorie deficit for your weight loss goal.
