Checking In and Introducing myself :)

Hi Everyone... I just signed on with MFP and started tracking my daily calories a little over a week ago. I'm a military spouse and mom to twin 6 year old boys (their birthday was last week!). I have been working out my whole life, and then after the boys were born it took until they were about 2yrs. old before I felt like I had my head above water again and could summon the energy to workout. I joined a gym around that time and went 5x a week until we moved, joined another gym... moved again, (are you seeing a pattern with my life??) and then after our last move last summer I decided to take on P90x (classic). I am now on my fourth consecutive round of P90x (addicted!) and plan on continuing far into the future with it and its soon to be release cousin P90x2. I love the weightlifting component and the results I've had so far!
As far as diet goes, I started eating clean and whole foods about 3 years ago and was ecstatic when my chronic migraine headaches (that I have had since my early 20's) literally disappeared over a two week period! At this point (for the sake of honesty) consider myself to be 90% clean on a daily basis. Chocolate is my friend/enemy! But I try not to beat myself up too much on that one... moderation is the key for me!
The thing is, even tho' I eat clean/whole foods it wasn't until I started tracking that I realized that I was still eating too much of a good thing. Since tracking I realize that I was eating between 2000-2200 cals/day rather than the 1600-1800 I thought I was eating. I am hoping to push thru my plateau and finally be rid of these last few pounds.
So that's me in a nutshell! Look forward to helping and learning about being healthy...
Cheers!

Welcome, I absolutely LOVE this site. It eliminates the headache of calculating a personal log and makes everything so much easier! I, too, had too much “good” stuff in my diet. Good luck, and have fun!

Hi, I have been working on the God's diet, which I am guessing is pretty much clean eating. I need to read more on it. Mine is simply if God made it you can eat it, if man altered it leave it alone.
I used to move a lot too, I am glad you found an exercise system that can go anywhere with you. I will be on here three weeks tomorrow. First time I have actually love to keep track of my eating and exercise on a site.
Best of luck!0 -
