I'm 5"2 and I weigh 103 lbs. I used to weight 116lbs. Ever since I've started losing all I can think about it ways to lose even more. From time to time i skip meals and at one point I even considered purging after eating. I feel like weight loss is beginning to become an obsession and I wish I could stop. When I look in the mirror I always point out my body imperfections so i want to know if abyone has any tips on how to start loving my body and quit with this calorie obsession?

Speak to your family doctor and get some help. It's starting to sound like an eating disorder. If you don't want to speak to your doctor yet, try a mental health charity or charity for eating disorders, they would be another source of help and support for you. People on here aren't trained to give you the support and advice you need to overcome this, they can only support you in your road to recovery :)

WHat are you equating weight loss to in your mind? Feeling accomplished, sucessful, special? Does having dieting "willpower" make you feel kind of superior to people? Do you feel like maybe life will be better at xx pounds? That you will accept yourself only if you've lost a certain amount of weight?

It sounds to me like you have either the beginnings of possibly a full fledged eating disorder, though of course it's hard to say based on one post. I would encourage you to think very hard about the "why" you want to lose weight, and what the focus on weight is doing for you positively in your life. A distraction from something else?

Also please talk to your doctor and a counselor, before this takes up more of your life than it already has. Trust me when I tell you that an eating disorder is a sneaky, manipulative and crazy *kitten* of a disorder to deal with. I've been dealing with one for nearly 10 years

I had the same mindset when I was 18 years old, that's why I am still tying to lose weight at age 67! Get real, you do NOT need to lose any more weight - in fact you could do with putting some on for your height. If the composition of your body worries you, you can address that through exercise.

You need professional help, this is not something you can solve by talking to strangers. Talk to a therapist.

You need professional help and you need it now. You are already underweight and you are displaying disordered eating.
