What time do you wake up? What's your routine? What time do you have to leave for work (if you leave in the mornings)?

I wake up around 4:45 depending on the length of my workout. Normally I workout for an hour then shower, have a shake for breakfast and have to be out the door by 8am.0

I hit the gym at 4:30 in the morning and I'm back home by 6:00-6:30. I'm a SAHM so I got while my husband and son are still asleep and I'm back by the time they wake up. I then workout again at home while my son is taking his morning nap. I've always been a morning person so waking up early doesn't bother me. I dedicate my evenings to family time.0

I'm up at 5. Leave the house at 5:30 for an hour run. Back at 6:30, shower, pack lunches, wake the kids, get them ready for school and out the door around 7:45.0

I wake up at 5:15, get dressed, (I have to brush my teeth), grab a little snack that I prepared the night before for some energy, start close to 5:30, throw in an Insanity or TurboFire DVD, workout for about an hour to hour-fifteen depending on the time of the workout, then get ready for the day and also get two kiddos around. I leave for work at 8:00. I love morning workouts!! SO much energy thoughout the day!!0

I get up at 4:45...I am on the treadmill by 5. I like to do at least 3 miles. Done by 6, hit the shower and have to be at work by 7....it's a lot of rushing around, but it's totally worth it. I used to work out after work, but after working 8 hours by the time it was time to work out I was drained. I do my crunches/leg lifts/free weights while I watch tv in the evenings. And a plus is that my evenings are mostly free.0

I wake up at 6, try to run for 30 mins to an hour, and then get ready for work. I have an hour long (or more!) commute so i have to be out the door by 8am at the latest, so i usually end up having a banana or a slimfast in my car while i sit in traffic0

I am up by 5 and at the gym by 6 I workout for an 1.5 to 2 hours and back home by 8:30 the latest, I am also a SAHM so I gotta be back before my kids wake up.. right now they are on summer vacation and my husband works nights so as I am leaving he is getting home. I am gonna have to be at the gym by 5am once school starts up again... I love it.. sometimes if I have an appointment for one of my kids I go in the evenings but I really like going early.0

I need to be at work before 8 AM. Sooo the alarm goes off at 5:45, wake up around 5:55, eat a bit, leave, arrive at the gym by 6:20 (6:25 at the latest), work out until 6:55 or 7, shower there, get ready, and go straight to work.
The key is nighttime preparation of the gym bag, so the morning is an easy get-up-and-go thing. It's my 3rd week of the routine and everything is working smoothly! Best of luck!0 -
During the school year, I have to get up at about 4 so I've got time to wake up, grab a quick protein shake, and drink some water. If I get up any later then I'm rushing to get ready and then the kids have to rush and we most likely will be late to school...which I HATE. During the summer I'll get up between 6 and 7.
I like getting my metabolism revved up at the beginning of the day, too. Then I don't have to worry about what I'm eating and how hard I have to work to burn it off. I know exactly how many calories I can have at each meal. Since I live in South Texas it gets pretty hot in the summertime and I'd rather workout when it's a little bit cooler. We don't have central heat/ac, so during the winter I'd start working out with warm jammies, at least two t-shirts, several pairs of socks, a sweatshirt, gloves, my bathrobe and sometimes a hat! Then I'd gradually shed layers as I got warmed up.
I think you HAVE to be dedicated and have your head in the right place. I know that I will never get the results I want if I don't put in the effort on a consistent basis. Plus at this point, 170 days of exercising, I love the feeling. In one of my Turbo Fire workouts Chalene says that you get addicted to intense exercising and the endorphin high you get when you're finished. "We're here to support you in your new addiction!"0 -
I'm up at 6-630 to get a run in before my hubby goes to work. If I can't manage a workout during the baby's naptime, then at least I got a full body workout in before the chaos begins! Basically, if I don't workout out in the morning, then it's like pulling teeth to get me to get a workout in otherwise!0

Up at 4:30, 15 minutes to get ready, 45 minute drive to the gym.
On M-W-F I run 3 miles then sit-ups, stretches, etc.
On T-Th I lift weights, then stretches.
Done by 6:30. Shower, get to work by 7:000 -
I'm an early riser regardless of whether I have someplace to go or not. My cycling studio only has classes in the morning at 9:30 or in the evenings at 7:15 (but not always, only select days). So, I really have no choice but to go early. I figure since I'm up around that time anyway, I might as well get my workout in instead of sitting on the couch and watching Dr. Oz reruns all morning. I have my workout in and am showered and ready for lunch by 110

On run days I am out the door by 5:15 at the latest which gives me a good 45 minutes to run. I have to be home by 6 in order to be ready to be out the door by 7 with my partner and our son.0

I get up at 4am and workout for about 40 minutes or so, either 3 miles or cicuit training, quick shower and out the door before 6am. I usually make my morning workout shorter since I workout after work too!0

Alarm goes off at 4:05. I'm dressed and ready to push play no later than 4:15. I shower then do some contracting work from home before I get my kids up at 6:30 to get ready for school. I'm out the door at 7:00 to get to my bricks and mortar job. I commute so I have an opportunity to sleep during my way in to work and back home.0

How do you guys stretch and get your muscles warmed up that early? I have usually run in the evenings but my husband doesn't get home until 7:00 pm now so I want to reserve that time for family time. I always feel so good running in the evenings because I've been walking around and moving all day. This morning was my first early workout in forever, and my muscles just felt so tight even though I stretched. I really don't want to wake up even earlier just to warm up my muscles but I definitely recognize the need for stretching.0

Wow...it's great reading everyone's responses!
I'm not sure if I'll actually become a morning exerciser, but I love the thought of it!
This morning, I woke at 4. I was done exercising by 5, started my coffee pot and took a shower. After that, I was able to sit and enjoy my coffee and watch Glee until it was time to wake my kids at 6. I leave my house at 7 for work, so it's always a mad rush between 6 and 7.
I sometimes feel so stretched in the evenings, trying to take care of kids and house and I'm a student also, and work full time. I'm thinking mornings would be best for me.0 -
I wake up at 6 am and at minimum do 30-45 mins on the elliptical (at home) and if my one year old is still sleeping which in most cases he is i will also do p90x which is about another 30-45 mins. Sometimes if I don't get to get all my workout done in the morning I finish it up during my son's naptime.0
-
I get up at 5, am out the door by 6, 10 mile bike ride to work, depending on how fast I went/how tired I'm feeling I might hit the elliptical or treadmill for 20 minutes when I get to the gym. Shower, get ready, and at work by 8:30 at the latest. That's if I am motivated to get up in the morning. On days I am too tired for that, I just pack a bag and work out after work, since my gym is close to work.0

I set my clock for 5:15am but I snooze for about 15-20 mins. Roll over and check FB and MFP before I get out of the bed at 5:40. Take about 10 minutes to get dressed and go for a 2-2.5 mile walk/jog around the neighborhood. Back in the house by 6:30. I have to leave the house by 7:25 to get to work by 8. I usually do another workout at lunchtime too.0

I set my clock for 5:30, meet up with my friend with our pups for our morning hike at 6:00 am to 7 or 730 depending on how ambitious we are that morning;) Leave for work at 8:30 to get there for 9.
Im lucky though in regards to work. I only have to be there three days a week, and the other two days I work from home, so on those days that I stay home, I still get up early, but through in some strength training to:)0
