What do you like about yourself?

Hey everyone!

Thought I would start a feel good thread as I guess for a lot of us we are so busy trying to get healthier and/or fitter that we forget about what we have already achieved so far, or what we admire about ourselves already.

So I will start. I like the fact that my attitude is changing from a negative, defeatist one to a positive and vibrant one. Although I have a lot of work ahead of me, right now I feel on top of the world and excited about what the future will bring for me and my Family. I think that its all to do with overhauling the way I live, finding out that I have type 2 Diabetes and Chronic Anaemia was a huge wake up call for me, and to be honest I have now realized that I have no right to treat my body the way I have anymore. My body has helped create three miracles, my daughters -it truly is a magnificent thing and I can no longer take my body for granted.

Onwards and Upwards!

I'm so glad to hear you have seen improvements in your attitude! It's hard to make lifestyle improvements when you are feeling negative and pessimistic. I am glad to say I can run two miles now without stopping. I hope to be ready to do my first 5k I'm May

This is a good idea for a thread and congrats to your change in lifestyle. I don't like too much about myself at this point and it will probably stay that way for a while. But... I like the people in my life as few as they are. I guess they're the best part about me and they're what truly keeps me going.

Hey! Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. It's easier to see your own flaws than good qualities. Don't get discouraged!

I like my curves. It was hard taking the time to bother getting better when I didn't like anything about me. When I decided to like myself the weight finally started to come off and stay off. (yes a previous yoyo dieter) You can do it OP and always remember you are beautiful.

I like that I have more self confidence. I used to wear make-up daily, care about what I wore. Then.. I just didn't. I didn't care. I lost myself. I've started caring about myself again. I take care of myself in ways that I didn't in the past. I recently purchased lipstick. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but for me it is. I am working on my self-esteem issues, but I am in a way better place than I had been in the past.

I like the shape of my body. It's got a little too much "extra" but it has a nice hourglass-y shape I'm starting to appreciate. And I like that I'm taking care of myself by exercising regularly, even though I really don't like exercise.

    This is fun to read.

I like my determination, and my strength gains doing Stronglifts, and my squat booty!

I'm the same. Even if I lose the weight I want, I will still have stretch marks and scars, but that is ok! Real women are more beautiful than those photoshopped images we all see!

I like the fact that I'm still walking every day and eating right while 33 weeks pregnant. I'm proud of how well I'm progressing and amazed that my body is making another human!!

I like that I have just a little bit of crazy in me - makes treadmill running much more fun - always challenging myself and responding to that pushy inner voice. :D

I like that I can squat and deadlift more than the weight of my boyfriend. For reps.
