Stupid questions!

Hope this not a stupid question but how does everyone measure things like mayonnaise and ketchup, spoons or scales.

Also I think I saw on here someone say that you shouldn't include the water you drink during exercise in your daily total. I go through at least a litre at the gym and include this.

Scale for everything. Make sure you have a digital scale with a tare button. Put your plate on the scale. Tare out its weight. Add the ketchup, weigh it in grams. TAA DAAA! LOL I actually love to weigh everything. It's like a game. :p

ETA: I somehow missed your second question. I include all water. Why wouldn't water drank during exercise count? Did they give some sort of reasonable explanation, because I cannot think of one.

I don't use a lot of condiments but, I use Ranch and I typically weigh it.

I put the jar of mayo on the scale, turn it on, and then scoop out as much as I need. The scale will show me how much I used in negative grams.

I kind of do both. Sometimes I will set my plate on the scale and zero it before I add the ketchup or mayo or salad dressing. But sometimes I do use a measuring spoon for those things. If I get to a point where my weight loss is stalled and I feel like I need to tighten it up then I would use the scale.

I don't keep track of water. I just drink when I feel like I need to and I don't let myself get dehydrated.

Same for me. Most dressings and mayos will say something like "serving size 1 T (15g)". Use the weight whenever available.

As for the water, track it however you want. I don't even track mine half the time.

Weight it is then, I strictly weigh everything then I realised as a squirted mayonnaise into my tuna that I have just been guessing condiments, oops, smacked hand for me. :)

The water thing bothers me a bit, my gym has the scales that measure bodyfat and a whole host of other things, they said I should to aim for at minimum of 45% body water but last time I was weighed it was 43.2

Had English muffin with butter last night. Weighed the muffin first and adjusted my quantity of English muffin (since "one" English muffin is ~57g I believe according to the package). Then tare'd the scale, added my butter, and used that to log my butter.

All those scales just use bioimpedance which isn't very accurate, regardless of what you are trying to measure. Drink to thirst, monitor your urine color, don't worry about what a scale measuring electrical resistance says.

I feel like this is brilliant. Much easier than guessing how much you will need first then measuring that.

I use this for really sticky things like treacle or syrup
