has anyone gotten a rash from keto?

Not sure where to post this. I've been on keto for about a week and recently I developed a rash. From what I've read online, people generally get it on their trunk, chest and back. It can possibly be food allergy also but none of the foods I've been eating are new except maybe coconut oil. Although I have no issues eating coconut.

My rash is symmetrical on the sides of my body from just underneath my armpit and radiates down. It's extremely itchy/painful from scratching.

Any insight would be great and should I see a doctor about this or wait it out? Thanks!

    Drastically reducing a single macro nutrient (in this case, carbohydrates) is unnecessary. Some people do well on keto, some don't. This may be a sign that it isn't for you. General weight loss can be achieved in a safer and more efficient way by slightly reducing consumption of all three macro nutrients (carbs, proteins, fats). What will happen is you'll be in a calorie deficit. Be consistent with it for a while and you'll see your results. Just saying..

    I eat primal, which means I eat about 100g of carbs (mainly veggies - no crappy grains).

    I've not heard of this rash thing. It may be food related?

    Personally I would see the doctor just in case.

    Apart from eliminating any food have you added any?

    Yes! I have this rash on my leg! Itched and red blotches, my back and legs itch like I could itch them raw! No one really has an answer to this but I'm trying to figure it out. Would love to have an update on this as I see last post was 2014 :(

    I tried keto for a few weeks a couple years back and broke out in the worst acne ever. It all cleared up when I quit keto.
