Quest to lose 120 before 12/20/16

Hi m new to mfp. Started my healthy eating 1/12/16 weighing in at 291.5. For me it's all about making my own food, counting those calories, not drinking wine. I'm a vegetarian life long. Have yo yo weight through life from 150-291. I am hopping to make it back to a healthy weight by my birthday in December when I turn the big 60. This is day 43 and I'm down 32lb, able to start walking, elliptical a little.

Welcome! Walking was key to my weight loss, and also light lifting. I also did a vegan meal replacement shake for two months (for breakfast) and completely cut out pop. 54 lbs down! You can do it0

Be careful. That would seem to be some pretty extreme dieting to lose 32lbs in 43 days. You don't want to set yourself up for the yo-yo pattern again! But congrats to you! You are off to a great start. Lord willing, I'll be dieting all year on MFP too. Let's be friends....I'm not real sure how to "friend" you!0
