I this like a hash tag on Instagram or something? I feel like I've missed out on something here. I personally prefer to count my collection of Disney Princess figurines.0

Counting macros is counting calories.
I count calories and those calories are divided between the macros in a way that meets my nutritional needs and keeps me satiated.0 -

Counting Macros is the same as counting calories, BUT!! Counting macros can be more efficient for training and Athletic purposes. For example I'm an endurance athlete and if I start to feel like I'm not performing optimally I go back into my diary and see if I'm carb depleted and eating to much fat or whatever. So I can adjust my rating accordingly to eat more carbs for a few days to restore my glycogen storage and perform much better. As a prospective medical student it also helps me see how my nutrition is affecting my performance in school so Macros is by far a more detailed way to count calories however they are fundamentally one in the same!
