I am in the middle of a 28 day blitz diet and exercise program and am struggling to consume enough calories. I am meant to be restricting them to about 1300 but find I am not getting anywhere near this 800-900. I feel like I am constantly eating and am struggling to eat more. I am eating very low carbs- probably only about 30gms carbs plus a reload after a circuit class 4 times a week(banana in a protein shake) I am eating about 25gms protein with every meal- chicken, prawns, eggs, fish etc. And audio have at least 1 protein shake per day. We are limited with the vegetables we can eat but basically have 2 of cups of vegies with each meal as well ( very low carb). I use a fair amount of olive oil in cooking/dressings and also have a teaspoon of cream in coffee 2-3 times a day. Any suggestions would be great bearing in mind that I do want to lose weight.
Thanks

To lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn, but not too little, as that just makes you sick before you lose any substantial amount of fat, and do that for some time. To be able to stick to the correct calorie deficit, you have to find a way to eat that you at least tolerate, or preferably, enjoy. If this way of eating isn't right for you, you won't be able to stick to it. Find something you can stick to. There is no rational reasons why you can't eat the vegetables you like.0

Eat more chicken or find a plan that you can stick to and meet your goals. Fad diets are usually not the way to accomplish it.0

Not completely free of carbs - pecans, walnuts & avocado
But I have to agree with Hornsby - fad diets are short term fixes for a long term problem0 -
Eat more fat. Low carb is not a "fad diet": it depends on your metabolism whether one will thrive and lose weight on a low cal diet that has its SAD macros intact. I wasn't able to, so I went low carb, with good results. But, it's a personal thing. Your mileage may vary.0

Eat more good fats and protein. Have a bowl of prawns, some peanut butter, an avocado that will soon rack up the calories... You will never sustain a diet at that level of calories and will crash and burn...0

The body uses insulin to get the protien into the muscle, it needs carbs to produce insulin. You might feel better if you add in just a little more carbs.0

Chicken and prawns are low fat protein sources so not great choices, either replace them with something that has fats / oils in it (20% beef mince, oily fish etc) or add mayo, avocado or some dressing to boost it.0
