hi, i'm male, 21 y/orld and over the last year i lost around 60 lbs, but i always thouth that i had some kind of disease (or super slow metabolims)
i lost weight by eating 1200 cal everyday and walking 3-4 hours daily. (lost 2 lbs a week this way)
i'm 6 feet tall (1.82 cm) and now i weight 170.

i find very difficult to mantain.
i had surgery on thyroid when i was 10, maybe this caused me to develop hypo?
i gain weight super easy.

i'm just curious, it's possibile that i have hypo?

thanks

yes no maybe. The only thing that will tell you is a blood test.

But if you were losing 2 lbs at 1200 that puts your TDEE around 1900 - so no, you are just not very active.

I lost 31 lbs before being diagnosed with hypo - get lab work done to find out!

It won't go away, but a daily pill can get rid of most, or all, of the symptoms. See a doctor, get tested. Good luck!

If you have it, it can certainly be managed well.

Synthroid/levothyroxine will be prescribed if you are hypo to normalize you.

Once you are normalized you should be able to live normally and lose weight like anyone else.

The trick is getting you on the right dose, it can take a while.
