I was on a vacay for a few weeks and so I got off the diet wagon and gained 9 pounds :( I just went back to eating healthy again, and it sucks to start over lol. Tips to stay focused and motivated?

It helps to first pat yourself on your back for getting back to eating healthy again! That already is a great start! We all kind of enjoy ourselves on vacation. That's what vacations are for. Me? I'm getting back to the gym and running after a year of shoulder problems and shoulder surgery. I think for me, it's important to know that starting can be real challenging, but keep your eyes on the prize and don't let your setback be your focus. Keep your goal in focus and take everyday as healthy as you can. You'll not only get back to where you were, but you'll get even get fitter! Have a great week and keep at it!

I'd suggest maybe trying to change your mindset about being on a diet. If you want to make a lifestyle change, then less-than-ideal times are going to happen, but it doesn't mean you have to start all over again. It just means you hit a normal bump in the road. I just thought of this analogy.. if you were on road trip and got fifty miles away from home before you decided to try a shortcut that took you backwards fifteen miles, you wouldn't drive all the way home and then start over again. You'd be annoyed and frustrated and then move forward. Ok, it's not the perfect analogy, but you catch what I'm throwing, right!?

Add friends on here and check in to it each day helps keep me mostly on track. I kind of view it as a game to keep my login streak going and try to log things as I can.

Yes. I need the daily routine of logging in and reading success stories. I don't get a lot of support or congrats from friends and family. So unfortunately I have to pump myself up and hopefully get support here !
