While MFP has an automatic TDEE calculator are there any others you would use? I am on an 800 calorie cut but I want an accurate calculator. What are some you guys use and would recommend?

Okay I'm a little hesitant about http://www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator/... It is full of spelling and grammatical errors! I try to find websites that are reputable sources to get the most accurate and up-to-date information but if this website is so great why can't they figure out spellcheck? I've never heard of Scooby's so I'm going to check that site out now0 -

I use this one. I like it. Still an estimate as always.
But don't feel drained when I use its amounts for calorie intake when cutting or maintaining.

MFP does not have an automatic TDEE calculator - that includes exercise.
MFP has an automatic NEAT calculator- that doesn't include exercise. It expects you to log your exercise and eat those calories back as your deficit is in your NEAT basic calculation.
TDEE is good to use if you are consistent in your exercise long term.
NEAT is good if your exercise is infrequent or change your workouts frequently.
Personally I have used both ways to count my calories depending on workout schedule.
I find Scooby high in its estimates.
IIFYM ( despite spelling) and Fitnessfrog are more accurate for me.
Decide which method suits you best, chose a calculator, and run the numbers for 4-6 weeks. If you are not getting the result it predicted, tweak the calories. All are just estimates.
You can, with good logging for 4-6 weeks, work out your personal TDEE from the data you collect on MFP.
That is what I do.

I prefer scoobys. Last time we tried at iifym it gave crazy numbers. It had my weight loss calories and maintenance calories only 16 calories apart. We tried other family members stats and same craziness.0

@AmazonMayan, funny how that works. I know a lot of people that swear by Scooby, but it has always been too high for me.
It could be that I am petite and older and IIFYM works better with my demographic.

Honestly I wondered if it was a glitch. We tried a few days in a row before giving up. I've used that site in the past and got normal numbers.0
