Need support

I am back on the band wagon and really need support. I am living with my parents and grandma again and really need help with control and temptations!!! Any ideas guys? I walk a ton during the work day and am so hungry when I get home!!! I am going to start equate shakes for lunch replacement (since I don't get lunch that often from being so busy running around). Suggestions for temptations?

Hey there! Bravo that you're back on the band wagon! Question: Are you eating through the day? I eat 4-6 small meals/snacks a day. I eat every 3 hours. (7am. 10am. 1pm. 4pm. 7pm. And if I'm really hungry I have a healthy snack before 9pm. My nutritionist has described metabolism as a fire in a fireplace. If you don't feed the fire what happens? It fizzles out. So, we want to keep it burning and to do that, you've got to feed it. I've actually set daily reminders for every 3 hours on my phone which helps a lot! And I am obsessed with looking at transformation pics which has also helped me stay on track so much! Focus on your goal/s. And when you're tempted try your best to take a moment to figure out how you feel. I make myself a big glass of ice water with lemon or berries or cucumbers. And I take deep breaths and I walk away. Because I often realize I'm emotionally eating. That's also when I usually hit some of my fave transformation sites. I also have a Pinterest board I use to keep motivational quotes and pictures of people who have lost weight and transformed their lives. I look at that everyday too. Lately, I've been going for evening walks around the neighborhood. Not to exercise but to relax. And also give myself time to stay clear of the kitchen and breathe. STAY STRONG!

I think you answered your question. If you are hungry when you get home then maybe you should rethink car food. I eat carrots, or a pack of stir fry vegetables all raw and crunchy or an apple or some grapes on the way home. It does the trick. I can also get comfortable with an ounce portion of breakfast cereal in a zip lock bag-- works at the movies too. It takes the edge off and is really easy to pack. If you dug through my office you will find a box of cinnamon toast crunch and a measuring cup..... it's all about that portion control.

Any diet that requires you to be "so hungry" on a daily basis is doomed. It may deliver short-term results, but you will always regain it.

How much are you looking to lose? How long have you been dieting? And what type of eating plan do you currently follow?
