I have lost 85 pounds. I would like to lose my last 10-12 pounds in 3 months. I am finding it extremely difficult for this stubborn fat to come off and I feel so discouraged especially with all the diet trends (don't eat bread, don't eat dairy, do this do that) any tips to lose the last few that actually works but won't make me miserable and starved?? I could really use some advice!

I am in the same boat! I have lost 77 and have been stuck in the lower 150's since December. Can't seem to break this stride. So any advice would be appreciated!0

The last 10lbs does take much longer as it takes us being more accurate at logging our food - a few hundred cals extra a day really would make a difference. Tighten up the logging, be patient and you will get there.
I found that changing up my workouts helped boost my weight loss - I normally run and walk so if the scale was stuck when I was in the losing phase I would have done interval /circuit training which helped alot.
Another thing I found was cutting back on sugar just a bit really helped. I am not one for banning any food groups but just to cut say one sugary snack and replace it with protein/fibre snack also works well in my opinion.
It took me months to lose my last 5lbs, it was a fight for each one - simply because I refused to starve myself. I'm short but active so I can lose eating as much as 1800 cals a day. Been maintaining goal for 3 yrs now

OP, the last 10 - 12 is really hard. But doable. Have you setup MFP correctly with your stats to loose X pounds a week? If so, what did you enter to loose each week?
Personally the last 10 for me was set to loose it slow at .5 pounds. Two things helps you being able to eat a bit more and also helps when you move into maintenance.
I am not sure why you would pay attention to diet trends about bread, dairy etc.. at this point in the game.. You stated you already lost 85 pounds.. Did you not eat bread or dairy, etc.. to get there?
Do the last 10 slower, eat what ever it was you ate to loose 85 pounds.0 -
I'm trying to lose my last 5-8 at a rate of about .5 a week and it is difficult for me not to get impatient with myself. I'm not even sure if I want to stop there, I might lose 5 more, once I reach my true goal. I'm taking it 5 lbs at a time, netting my mini-goal BMRs.
Don't listen to the trends, just eat how your body feels best while still losing, and take a few days off every now and then if you start to feel miserable.
Also, don't use diet pills. Diet pills are an alien plot to seed the planet. The pills are eggs and our bodies provide the incubation and nutrients they need to come into being. Earth is a level five planet and is protected against this by law, so know your rights as a citizen.0
