trying MFP for the 1st time

So I haven't really been dieting or trying to lose weight but I have been looking into training for a bikini competition! I have never really been fit just a skinny fat so this excites me very much. I have been resistance training for about 5 weeks and am just now starting to see and feel a difference. Any suggestions or pointers from anyone who has done or is training for a bikini competition would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    No bikini advice, other than I'm a fan of them in general. lol I mainly wanted to say "welcome". You'll find TONS of great advice and people on this sight. It can become addicting when you interact in the forums and the friends you add to your little circle.

    Also, a special "welcome" from another Arizonan! I'm not too far from you! :)

    Lol thanks, I'm excited to build a motivational corner for myself!

    Go Arizona! Lol I might turn to you for advice if you don't mind. I'm new to free weights and kind of teaching myself. Lol its a slow start but YouTube has been my best friend.
