Not sleeping well...exercise?

Really wasn't sure where to put this topic!
For almost a week now I've not been able to get a good nights sleep! I toss and turn and constantly wake up.
Maybe its cause the days are getting longer and the sun is starting to come up now around the same time I get up...
But maybe its something I'm doing?
I've been exercising a lot more starting last Sunday, but 96% of the time its in the a.m.. I haven't really changed my diet or how I've been eating. And I thought exercise should help you sleep, if anything.
I'll live, and it'll probably sort itself out, but its so annoying! Just wondering if anyone else has had problems like this from diet changes/exercise?

Try eating more magnesium rich foods. Magnesium gets depleted during exercise and can also play a factor in insomnia.0

I have been suffering the same thing. What do you think is causing the insomia? I too may try magnesium rich foods.0

Thinking about it this morning, I'm thinking maybe it has to do with how hard/much I'm exercising and my calorie deficit. The last week I've been crazy...2-3 hours of intense zumba. I haven't been eating back any calories (that could add another 1000+ calorie deficit on some days).
Yesterday I only did 60minutes and slept great last night! I have done no research into that but its th only correlation I can see right now.
It was also "that time of month" last night and i ended up taking a painkiller for the cramps, so that could have helped in some way maybe as well.

I have the same issue and nothing but sleeping pills seems to help. Exercise does a little, Advil does a little, but I still wake up every time I roll over. I guess I'm just offering sympathy and hope that you can find a solution where I've failed to.0

Maybe if you exchanged some of that workout time for weights, or cycling, or even walking. I personally would find that type of exercise (zumba classes) too over-stimulating.

If I go at it too hard or with more intensity at the gym I sometimes have trouble sleeping...my legs feel restless and I can't get comfortable.
I think it may be a sign of needing a rest day or dial it back for a day or so.0
