Hi People.

My name is Leon, and I live in a small town in the northern wilds of Sweden 65.5°N.
I moved here from Scotland to be with my Wife.

In September last year, My wife died suddenly, and I took it pretty hard.
I was not paying attention, and I fell down the stairs, busted my knee pretty good, knocked out a couple of teeth, and had a hairline fracture in my shin.

Between October and January, I gained 70 lbs and ballooned past 250 lbs depression eating and comfort eating.
If it was not for the dogs, it would have been a lot more, as I don't think I would have left my Apartment.
I have never been slim, but want to at least get rid of the weight I gained, maybe a little more.
I came across Daily Burn after seeing the advert on Hulu, and the coach directed me here.

I never thought calorie counting would be an answer, but myfitnesspal has shown me how to eat healthily again, and the exercise regime coupled with myfitnesspal has allowed me to start to make inroads.

Cheers, and Thanks.

Leon

Welcome, and so sorry for your loss. You have had some dreadful times, but you are taking back control and sounds like you are well on the way to turning things around. Dogs can be such a help when it comes to getting out and about! All the best from a fellow UK ex-pat (hate that term), but to France not Sweden. :)

It looks like you have the right attitude. Not perfection... just better and happier. Good luck to you!

You have turned around a very difficult time in your life in a relatively short period of time. You're an inspiration!

Thanks all for the kind words :)
BadgerLamb, I hate the term too. I agree, the dogs have been a great help, not only for getting me out of the house, but keeping my sanity also.
Standard Poodles are that little bit needier - grooming wise :)

    Cheers

    Leon
