I'm 5"2 and 150 pounds, size 4 in jeans and dresses. It just depends how you are portioned.0

Right now I'm 243, 5'7" and wear a 20 (maybe a 19 cause the 20s got loose after dropping down a little more). At 260 I wore 265 I wore a 24. At 200 I wear about a 16. At 180 I wear a 12 and at like 160 I wear an 8.
I'm very large boned according to wrist measurements and I have very wide hips and wide shoulders with a moderate small waist (when I actually am thin haha).
Hope that helps =]0 -
well Im 5ft 6.5 inches and 169 lbs(was 165 not too long ago), and I can wear anywhere from a womens sz 6(us) to a sz 10(12s are too big) but some 10s are too small and some are too big, depends on how they are made so I have to try on ALL my clothing. I have even tried on a sz 14 and it was too small but it was made small.I have wide hips,a smaller waist and what I consider big thighs. at 180 I was wearing a 10-12. Im a smaller size now than I was when I was 140 lbs(before I gained and lost). I also wear a a size small to large in shirts(I have wide shoulders).0

I'm currently 217 and my size changes with the cut and style of clothing. My shape is more like a pear so I wear XL shirts but need size 18 for jeans. I can get away with some 16w slacks or XL leggings. 18 for Dresses unless they are A line then I can get a 16.
A good rule is for every 10 pounds u loose u go down a dress size.0 -
I'm 5'4" at 236 I wore a 22, at 185 I wore a 14... I close to a pear shape...
Goals can sometimes be hard to set because we are overzealous. You could try setting smaller goals. At 236, my goal is just to get to my original mfp weight of 204 by 6 months, when I reach that, I plan to create another goal.0 -
Yes, body comp and body type make for crazy comparisons in terms of sizes. I'm 5'6" and at my largest, 200 lbs, I wore size 31/32 in virtually any brand of quality jeans (Paige, Hudson, etc) which is basically a size 12 or 14. I wore some larges and some medium tops. I wore all large jackets to accommodate my shoulders & arm length. Now I've lost about 27 lbs and am 17 lbs from my goal. Size 29 jeans fit perfectly, which is a size 8; my large tops seem too roomy but mediums are still just fine; and I continue to take large jackets for adequate shoulder width and arm length. Go figure! I haven't even had the inner fortitude to look into dresses...
:-(
Luckily, I live in skirts and jeans for work and don't need dresses or trousers.
I have a lands end bathing suit that has 8 bottoms and 10 bra top. Both feeling kinda roomy these days.0 -
I'm 185 currently and comfortably wear a size 12. I have a larger butt and really small waist, wide hips. It all depends on your body type as well. When I was 160 I fit into size 8.0

Totally depends on body shape . From similar questions before on the forums my guess is at size 10 you'll be a "normal" BMI. Take time to get used to your sizes along the way. 12 is small relative to 24 but it's not skinny by any stretch.
It'll take you more weight to go down a size between 24 and 14. After that it should be about 10 lbs (depending on height) as other people have noted0 -
Everyone holds their weight differently so it's hard to say what you will look like/what size you'll wear at a certain weight.
At 5'3" and 251 lb I wore a 20-22 or 2X
At 161-ish I'm wearing size 10 or Medium

It really depends on your height and body shape. I'm 5'7" and currently 190. My size 14s are loose and I'm just fitting into the one pair of size 12s I have. Time to hit up goodwill for some 12s here.0

It depends of so many factors! You should aim for feeling great about your self and to be at a healthy weight...size doesn't matter.
I use to be 120 pounds and I were a size 2...now i'm 197 and I wear a size 12. My friend is 120 and wears size 8....it depends of your shape, how you like to wear your clothes...and don't forget about body composition. I could look skinnier at 150 pounds than at 120 if I have muscles instead of being skinny fat.
So what's your healthy weight is the first question you should ask yourself!0 -
Me: 149 lbs, 5'4"
Pants: 6-8
Shirts: Small at Wal-Mart, Medium everywhere else (dresses: same)0 -
I'm currently fantasizing about the day I can walk in to any store in the mall and try things on - even the stuff totally inappropriate for my age. And I will do exactly that because I've really never been able to do that. Someone strong will have to come along to stop me from buying the frilly little dress from the teenager shop.
I've worn plus size clothes my entire life, school clothes from the special (and expensive) "chubby girl" store straight on to women's size 14, maybe a minute at junior 13. For a few months either side of high school graduation I could squeeze into a 12. Then college, beer, pizza... the rest of my life.
I'm 5'4, at 275 I was wearing size 24 pants and 3X tops. I'm now at 233, in some brands I can wear an 18 in pants. My 3X tops are almost falling off and the 2X's are more than comfortable. I currently have two pair of jeans that fit me exactly the same comfortable way - one is a pair of Lee jeans size 20, the other is a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans size 16 - both from Kohl's. I'm sitting here in a third pair, also comfortable that are 18's from Dress Barn.
Unfortunately, I purged my closet about a year ago when I was convinced that I would never lose weight and all the clothes that didn't fit went to charity. Once I fall through what I'm wearing now, I'll be buying new or brushing up on my tailoring skills. On the up side, this year I'll be donating the clothes that are too big!0 -
5' 8" 171 pounds. Size 10 jean. Some size 10's are getting big on me though.0
