I'm sure there are so many other topics relating this, but I'm going to be lazy and just ask again.

I'm looking into a good HRM (Heart Rate Monitor) and would love any suggestions. I'm not really sure the MFP calculators and machine calculators are truly accurate so I think this would be a good investment.

However, I am looking for something not too pricey that can tell me my calories accurately and be reliable and not quit on me.

Thanks in advance!!!

I have the Polar FT7 and I love it! :) I ordered mine off of www.heartratemonitorsusa.com for a very low price; it included the chest monitor as well.

Love my Polar FT4 was just under $100, with chest strap.

I use the Suunto M4 (specifically for women) and I use it every time I do any physical activity. It measures my heart rate, calories burnt during exercise, and even creates a daily exercise plan for you based on whether you set it to lose weight, improve fitness or free training. After each workout you even get a motivational message. I then easily load up all my exercises to this site, here is my public page http://www.movescount.com/members/missa1982

They can be bought on Amazon for quite a good price. I like mine as it motivates me, I trust it's acuracy and I like the fact that you can upload all your exercises to a site and see them all in one place.

First things first, if you want a good HRM that's going to last a bit, you're going to have to spend a bit.. think about 60-100 dollars depending on where you buy it from.

With that being said, I have a Polar FT7 and I love it. Easy to use and set up, and the strap is really comfortable.
Plus you can change the battery on it yourself.
