Calorie intake issue

I am a bit confused about calorie intake. My goal is to take 2600 calories a day but what I don't understand is that I burn around 600 calories in my workout, so should I take 3200 calories a day as I have burned 600 in the workout or should I take 2600 calories only no matter how many I burned while working out? Kindly suggest?

Thanks!

Did you use a heart rate monitor to monitor your exercise calories? Or did you go by what MFP said? And what is your goal(lose weight, maintain)?

I would do 1/2....ie: 2600+300=2900. Calories burned are almost always overestimated.

Ideally you should eat 3200, but calorie burns are often overestimated. Depending on your method of measuring how much you burned, it's best to only eat back about 50% of them, so 2900 for the day.
