Does anybody know any exercises/workouts that burn a lot of calories and don't need equipment?

check out the zuzka light youtube channel. Her workouts are killer and all you need is yourself and maybe a pair of weights.0

Google "You are Your Own Gym"........and yes, running (you may need to invest in some clothing if you live where it gets cold)

of course running like others have said, but what i would recommend instead:
plyometric training- Also known as Jump Training
HIIT training- High Intensity Interval Training
edit: added info as to what these words mean.
You can google these training modalities and there are plenty of workout plans and youtube videos. both HIIT and Plyometric training can be an excellent option for those wishing to burn the most amount of calories in a short period of time (because intensity and heart rate are kept high) but the benefits of this training lasts beyond your workout. Unlike running, these training modalities incorporate resistance training which has a longer over-all (for recovery) calorie burn.0 -
Dont listen to a beach body coach they just want to sell you work out videos so they get a cut. Look up bodyweight exercises for stregnth training you can do with little to no equipment. Lots of free at home videos on youtube.0

Seriously. And most are excellent quality and production. You can even find some of the most popular fitness dvd's uploaded to youtube like jillian michael's 30 day shred, etc.0 -
Tabata training - it is pretty much the same at HIIT (high intensity interval training) - of all the different exercises I have done while wearing my HRM tabata has burned the most in the shortest period of time - depends on which exercises you do though, burpees probably would be the highest or anything that involves jumping. And of course running0

If calorie burn is the main goal, then umm... Has anyone mentioned running?0
-
Dancing - it's great for burning off calories!! Put your favorite music on and just dance!0

Running. Jump rope (mine was super cheap at Walmart). I like to do sprints, broken up by body weight exercises, with some longer distance jogging mixed in.0

If you're only interested in volume of calories, then running.
You may be spotting a trend here...0 -
Jumping rope will burn a bunch as well.0

Not sure if running has been mentioned yet. For bonus calorie burns, run hills and/or do it on a treadmill with the incline jacked up. Prepare to suffer.0

Hiking hills is really good. If you are significantly overweight or older and have not been running, starting running may cause damage to knees, ankles, feet, etc. You can get the same level of calorie burn by walking fast and adding hills. Walking is much safer for knees etc. After you get your weight down and strengthen your muscles & joints, then you might consider running.0

In home jogging/fast walks, check out youtube for walking exercises . Zumba. Plyometrics and HIIT exercise (HIIT isn't for everyone but you can burn up to 100 calories in 10 minutes00

I would definetely agree with all of you. Running is awesome.
For some people, running might not be an option. I have had to stay in some countries for some time (work) where it would not be considered safe to run outside alone. In this case, I had to improvise as well. I only had a well air conditioned room with a bed in it to exercise in, but the following setup worked wonders for me:
- burpees
- push ups
- planks
- mountain climbers
- sit ups
- crunches
- repeat, repeat, repeat
Lock yourself in a room, put on some nice music and just go. I did this for 30 minutes everyday and at the end I was completely soaked in sweat lol. It takes a bit of discipline to do this every day, but once your body gets used to it, it will actually become fun. Especially the burpees. These things will be the most terrible exercise in the beginning, but will defenitely have your heartbeat skyrocket.0 -
