Do you drink steaming hot coffee?

Seriously, how do people do that without burning their mouths? Are the nerve endings in their mouth dead?

    Yes. I make some sipping noises and a suffer a little pain but if I wait the crema disappears

    I sip until it's cool. My husband adds a few ice cubes then guzzles it. He drinks it for the caffeine, not the flavor.

    Edit to add that I hate cold coffee so I'm constantly adding more hot coffee or nuking it in the microwave.

    Yes I like mine hot.

    I use a French press and get annoyed when I don't have access to a microwave and so have to reheat my coffee on the stove.

    I still do it, just annoying to dirty a pot.

    Yes.. And well, my mouth never burned before.. I eat and drink almost everything boiling hot, and the rest are ice cold. It's just that I'm used to it..

    The hotter the better. If I'm getting a latte type drink, I *always* order it as hot as possible. I want the first drink of my coffee to be just as hot as the last.

    I have piping hot espresso with steamed milk. I have 3 kids- i can chug it while it's burning or reheat it 10 times then it tastes sad. Choices.
