I read this this morning and had to post it here. This is a success story of a couple in their 50’s that started StrongLifts 5x5 and completely changed their lives. The wife was told (by doctors) that she could not rehab her ab muscles after child birth… they were wrong and it only took 9 months. Proof that anyone at any age can do it even when you THINK and are TOLD that your circumstances are stopping you.

Did she have a child in her 50's?! *shudder* It sounds like she needs a new doctor.

It says "after 4 kids" so I am assuming not. In my experience most doctors don't know a thing about strength and conditioning. I was told to stick to machines and keep the weight light after I had a shoulder injury (impingement). After blatantly ignoring that advice, I am now overhead pressing over half my bodyweight. Shows what doctors know.

Love this article. It is very inspirational and gives me hope that I can get my body back after our second baby. :-)
