Has anyone joined the FMD membership?

Hi. Would like to know if anyone has paid to become a member of Haylie Pomeroy's Fast Metabolism Diet? It's $12.99 a month or $99 a year, and they charge your card every month even if you only want the monthly membership. I wanted to pay the $12.99 to try it before I bought a whole year of it, as her app isn't the best, but I really don't want the hassle of having to call up and cancel after a month if I don't like it. I would appreciate hearing thoughts from anybody that has been on the site. Thank you.

Honestly, I think it's just an overpriced way to get you eating at a calorie deficit. I didn't even google it. I just know many programs promise a lot of things, but in reality they only work (if you notice) with "proper diet and exercise" so they are just selling you high-priced motivation when I have lost so much on my own walking more and watching my calorie intake. Almost to the 60lb mark without signing up for things like that.0

That's awesome! I'm in total awe of you! I do realize it is just another way of restricting calories, etc., but I need some motivation, as haven't been able to do it myself. I am starting the FMD diet tomorrow and would like to see what the membership site is like.1

That's totally cool, and if it brings you motivation and helps in the beginning, you can get a grip on portions and see success. And then you can drop it like a bad habit and spend that money on something else.0 -

My food diary is public, I don't know if we're able to see exercise diaries but BELIEVE ME, all I could do was walk at first! But I walked, and walked. Having a destination helps. I walked to my pharmacy or to get a haircut, it's 2hrs total. There's also grocery stores and gas stations in walking distance. My neighborhood block around is a little less than a mile, it took me about 45min at first but now I bet (if I could keep my son in the jogging stroller for once!) I could do it in less than 20 doing intermittant jogging. Now my exercise consists of resistance bands and running up stairs with a little walking.
Work your way up.
It took me a good two months for me to turn this into a habit. Now I can't help but go for a walk or a jog on my breaks and lunch because it's my new lifestyle.
I am 25, I don't know if that makes me older or younger than you, but I make mistakes and sometimes I eat too much, or don't move as much on some days. That's life... and I move on.
Food scale. Buy one now if you haven't already. I use it for all fruits, veggies, meats, cereal etc. It was fun at first, now it's a little tedious but I know it's worth it.

Here is some info I found on the web it will give an idea of what it is about. I see there is a book with all necessary info. I assume the monthly fee is actually for the community wesite/forums and probably newsletters/emails possibly a journal/food diary etc.

Why not sparkpeople? There is a book a cookbook and a forum thats free to join with all kinds of different types of diets not just one. There are many different groups too. But id rather save that money for something better like weight watchers or curves! But anyway ill be a motivation buddy for 12.99 a month! Just kidding ill be there for you for free! We can cheer each other along! Im already on a eating plan and its a little lonely as not many people seem to be doing it so any friends are welcome!0

I can pay $12.99 per month for info from a woman that believes in coffee enemas and that calories don't matter (while selling a book that is nothing more than a restrictive, low calorie diet)?

I have not been on this diet, but like most fads it's a waste of money. The only thing required to lose weight is to eat at a calorie deficit. MFP is one tool that can help you set up your goals to lose weight, it's free, and you can eat whatever foods you like.

Do not pay for all that. Restrict what you eat and move more. Start by products. Sodas first. Then move to sugars once a week, then twice, etc. until your not eating them anymore. Caffeine was my hardest because i had serious headaches and felt ill like a junkie. Seriously bad.
Motivation comes in strange ways. Leaving the walls you live in will help.
I just started over. I have removed all my bad stuff again. Two years ago on here I lost 75 lbs in 90 days busting my butt. I removed carbs and sugars. Swam a mile 3x a week and walked the others. Went from the corner to 3 miles during that time. Went up to swimming a mile. I broke my foot and ended up stopping all the exercise then the eating better ended and right back to the beginning. I know I can do it so I am here again.

Again, I stress this; It's YOUR money to spend. If YOU think it's what you need, at least at FIRST, do it. Get used to the portions, get used to the "rules" and then dump it and continue when you feel confident you can continue on your own or with other free support structures. Spark People IS a good resource.0

I just finished my first 28 day cycle. I feel great, lost 15.5 pounds, but I've got to be honest, I only read part of the book and never joined her site. I made a binder of recipes I found in pinterest, and just stick to the foods I can have. I don't feel like I'm missing out on too much because if the family goes out to dinner, I just try to eat as close to the diet as I can and I've been pretty successful so far. I really like what Ogmomma2012 said, you need to find something that works for you and stick with it. I found this works and has cut my sweet tooth craving down to nothing! Good luck!0
