weight loss headaches

Since dieting and cutting calories, I'm having daily head aches that last all day long. I've lost 15 lbs so far so I don't want to change up my diet, but is this normal?

Have you cut caffeinated beverages by any chance?0

Have you cut back on caffeine (coffee/soda)?Caffeine withdrawal headaches can be pretty awful. How many calories are you netting every day?0

Yes i cut back on caffeine and sweets. But I didn't drink caffeine too terribly much so I wasn't sure if that would be it? My calorie in take a day is now 1270.0 -
How much water are you drinking? I have found when changing my diet that if I am not drinking enough water I get terrible headaches.0

Cutting sugars and carbs can do that too. Sometimes it is just low sodium from the water lost. Sometimes it is low blood sugar because your body isn't used to the lower levels yet. Sometimes it is a withdrawal of sorts.
If you get the headavhe and it goes away with the consumption of carbs, then you'll know if cutting sweets/carbs are the problem. If they are, I think that's your body's way of telling you that those sweets may be affecting your body, and you are probably on the right path.0 -

Yeah I probably should be drinking more water. I'll try to drink more! Thank you!0 -
Simple test to see if it is the caffeine: Have a cup of coffee and see if the headaches get better in an hour or so. If that doesn't help it might be a blood sugar/nutrition issue. 1270 is a pretty extreme calorie deficit. If you increase your goal you will lose more slowly but you might feel better physically and have an easier time sustaining your lifestyle.0

If you've changed your diet recently then it can be normal to get headaches.
I agree with trying drinking more water as well. I used to think my headaches were food related but have found they are more often related to my water intake.0 -
I make it the highest priority that I'd feel comfortable, pain free, and even more energetic since I play sport. After all I figure this is long term and has to be sustainable.
I make sure I get enough/good sleep (adjusting caffein and eating some starchy carbs before bedtime), not get hungry pain by eating soothing food like unsalted cashew, avocado, etc. A few grams go a long way. Get moving and excitement. I don't remember I ever get headache while playing sport or watching a good movie.
